VÖLKEL strengthens the branch mix in Schenefeld town center

The Schenefeld city center is one of the largest shopping centers in the west of Hamburg. The catchment area includes the western districts of Hamburg as well as the towns and municipalities in the Schleswig-Holstein suburbs.

The city center was built in 1991 by the internationally successful architects Gerkan and Marg, who planned the shopping center as a “market hub” with access from all sides in view of the lack of an urban center in Schenefeld. In fact, it still lives up to its special name of “city center” with an attractive tenant mix and many events.

On approx. 37,000 square meters and over 3 floors, there are around 90 stores, service providers, offices and medical practices, including one of the five state-licensed casinos in Schleswig-Holstein. The anchor tenants are Rewe, TK Maxx, H&M, New Yorker and Deichmann.

With MyHome Outlet, VÖLKEL is now providing another new tenant and thus an attractive point of contact on the upper floor of the center: MyHome Outlet offers trade fair items and remaining stock from well-known furniture manufacturers as well as products from its own furniture and accessories line at low prices on approx. 1,600 sqm. Constant product additions make MyHome Outlet a treasure trove on a grand scale. Other new lettings in recent months include the pop-up jewelry store “Hammerschwestern” with unique, handmade items, the Feindura pop-up store with individual hats, gloves and scarves and the Rasch bakery.

The center is conveniently located. It can be accessed via the BAB 23 or via Altonaer Chaussee and offers ample parking with 1,300 spaces. It is also connected to the Hamburg public transport network with 3 bus stops right outside the door.

VÖLKEL has been responsible for the center management, property management and leasing of the Schenefeld city center since 2011.
