The Göttinger Tagblatt called for a great campaign at the end of 2022: 1,000 new trees are to be planted in the city forest in Göttingen.
The VÖLKEL team at Kauf Park Göttingen was delighted to take part in this campaign and contributed a total of 24 trees.
The city forestry office had already selected an area of approx. 4,000 square meters for this purpose, on which there were still spruce and larch trees that were either already dead or diseased. New plantings should be made of bird cherry and elm trees. On January 6, 2023, the 1,000 trees were planted in a joint campaign by business people and Tageblatt readers.
VÖLKEL was joined by center manager Jürgen Brunke and junior center manager Lara Aoul, both of whom helped with the planting. Afterwards there was bratwurst and fresh drinks with great conversations with everyone involved.
